What is tumour necrosis?

Tumour necrosis means dead tumour cells. Cancerous tumours are more likely than non-cancerous tumours to show tumour necrosis.

What causes tumour necrosis?

Tumour necrosis is typically caused by not enough blood flow to the tumour, however, it can also be caused by a medical treatment such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
